MONROE - Members of the Green County 4-H Foods and Nutrition project participated in the annual Foods Revue event April 14 at the Green County Justice Center. Foods Revue is a pre-fair event of the Green County Fair and is judged by a licensed fair judge with ribbons being awarded to the youth.
Youth are divided into four levels based on grade and can bring one food item and one educational exhibit to be judged at the Foods Revue.
Examples of project options this year were breakfast muffins, invent a snack, stir fry and a main dish salad.
This year's participants were: Madilyn Arnold, Spring Grove Honest Workers; Mara Dickson, Skye Dickson and Alexis Moen, Browntown Busy Beavers; Aleczander Johnson, Leilah King, Timothy Leslein and Alexander Murray, Next Generation; and Emily Goers and Molly Olson, Washington Center.
