Grand Sentinel to visit St. Omar chapter

MONROE - George W. Winget, Grand Sentinel of the Order of the Eastern Star will visit St. Omar Chapter 90 at their chapter meeting 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the Masonic Center, 1613 1/2 10th St., Monroe.

St. Omar Chapter officers invite all Eastern Star members to join them in greeting the Grand Sentinel, Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.

Every chapter of Eastern Star in Wisconsin is visited by a state (grand) officer each year to see that the ritualistic and floor work is uniform throughout the state. The state officer explains the various ongoing charitable projects of the Grand Chapter which include cancer research, Heart Foundations, Cheer Fund at the Wisconsin Masonic Home in Dousman, Knights Templar Eye Foundation, the Eastern Star Foundation which assists the needy, scholarships for the youth and ESTARL scholarships. This year each chapter will have special events to support the Hospice Organization and Palliative Experts of Wisconsin.
