MCCONNELL - Are computers still a mystery to you? Are you having trouble figuring out things like e-mail, "cut and paste," how to install a program, or better yet, how to uninstall those programs? Grace Free Methodist Church in McConnell may have the answer for you.
Grace FMC will be providing free computer classes starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. The members at Grace have done this several times before and realize that not everybody really understands how to use their computer. So the classes will start with the basics:
March 10, Introduction to Windows: Just the basics about how use a Windows PC. Where are my files? What is "cut and paste"? How do I start and turn off this thing?
March 17, Programs: What comes with Windows? What might I want to buy? Why aren't all these programs included with Windows? How can I install and uninstall programs.
March 24, Internet: How do I get connected and set-up. What is a browser? What about e-mail?
March 31, Word Processing: Isn't this just a fancy way of typing? Where did my letter to Grandma go when I closed the program?
April 7, Let's take a week off and celebrate Easter.
April 14, Spreadsheet programs like Excel: How do I use them?
April 21, PowerPoint: Just basic presentation.
April 28, Maintenance: What's a virus? What's spyware?
