Golf event to aid graduates

MONTICELLO - The Monticello Foundation will be hosting it's 11th annual golf outing on Monday, June 22, at the Edelweiss Chalet Country Club, New Glarus. Tee time will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a "shotgun start." Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. with prizes and drawings following dinner. Golf packages, which include 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner buffet and prizes, is $55. Cost for the dinner is $15 per person. Businesses and individuals may become hole sponsors for a $30 contribution. The Monticello Foundation has awarded over $76,000 in scholarships to Monticello graduates since it was established in 1994, including $6,750 to this year's Class of 2009. Monticello grads that have at least 24 college credits are encouraged to apply for scholarships to be awarded in September. Applications will be available beginning July 1 at the Monticello High School office.
