MONROE — Three members and two leaders of Monroe Girl Scout Troop #3218 are embarking on a trip to Japan in 2022 with other Girl Scouts from across the U.S.

Due to the pandemic, they have had to think outside the box for fundraiser ideas. Hence, the birthday banner fundraiser. Completely contactless, anyone and everyone can complete the requested form to wish a special person a happy birthday. This vibrant banner can be personalized with a name only or name and age of the person. For an additional cost, interested parties can request a glass cup with candy to sweeten the deal.

Emails to request the order form can be sent to GSJapan2022@gmail.com.

The banner will be delivered to the address requested with the personalized message, included at the bottom of the banner, for everyone to see that passes by that location.

Troop leaders would like to thank Heartland Graphics for the awesome banner design and Aster Assisted Living for allowing the group to place the first banner in their courtyard for a special 80th birthday.
