MONROE - The GFWC Monroe Woman's Club recently announced its art contest winners.
All entries that win the Monroe Helen Mears Art Contest held by the GFWC Monroe Woman's Club are sent to the Southern Prairies District contest and then to the state contest.
Winners of the artwork-painting contests are: Naomi Niesman, who received first in the local contest and second at Southern Prairies District; Bailey Hoesly, who received second in the local contest and honorable mention at state; and Jessa Lucas, who received third locally. Allison O'Brian received honorable mention locally, and Ashley Placek received honorable mention locally and at district.
Sculpture winners were: Morgan Bachim, who received first at the local contest and third at district; Calli Fiez, who received second locally and honorable mention at district; and Morgan Seffrood, who received third locally. Leah Peterson and Asia Altmann received honorable mention in the local contest.
