Genealogical workshop to be held Sept. 7

MONROE - A Green County Genealogical workshop will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Monroe Clinic in Founders' Hall. The workshop opens at 8:30 a.m., with the welcome beginning at 9:15 a.m. Sessions will continue until about 3:30 p.m.

Topics of the sessions are "Beginning Your Family History Research," "Family History Research in Illinois and Wisconsin," "Maureen's Rules of Research," and "Quhat's In A Name?"

Speaker Maureen Brady, a professional genealogist and owner of Bare Roots Genealogical Services, has more than 25 years experience with family history research. She is co-director of the Family History Center, Crystal Lake, Ill., and a member of many genealogical and family history societies.
