MONROE — It’s time to buy tickets for Pawlapalooza, Green County Humane Society’s annual fundraising dinner, set for Saturday, April 27, at the Monroe Golf Club.

The five-course dining experience will include wine and beer pairings selected by Brennan’s Cellars. There will be a basket and gift card raffle and a silent and live auction.

This is one of GCHS’s largest fundraisers, helping to support the hundreds of animals it rescues each year before they find their forever homes. The average cost of care per animal is $385, including food and general care, vaccines and medicines and spay/neutering costs. Only a portion of this is recouped in adoption fees.

The rest of the cost is covered by donations provided by residents and businesses.

This year’s five-course dinner menu includes sausage stuffed mushrooms, pasta fagioli soup, spring salad, smoked Gouda and hickory bacon with chives and orange white balsamic vinaigrette, New York strip with peppercorn and horseradish aioli, grilled salmon filet with lemon basil cream or chief’s choice vegetarian entree and key lime pie.

Only 100 seats are available for this event. Entree options are only available until April 22 — after that date, those signing up will receive steak.

Tickets are available at the shelter, N3156 Wisconsin 81, by calling 608-325-9600 or at www.greencountyhumane.org.
