GCGS meeting Nov. 2

MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society (GCGS) will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 in the Monroe Public Library meeting room.

The meeting theme is “Remembering Our Veterans”. A video presentation “Discover Your Military Ancestors” by Amy Johnson Crow will help those interested find sources to discover their ancestor’s military service. They will also discuss using the National Archives (NARA) to find and receive records of military ancestors. 

The Green County Historical Society will have a display of veteran memorabilia. Lynn Lokken, a member of both societies, will be sharing the history and meaning of several of the items.
