MONROE - A Sustainable Gardening class is offered by Green County Home and Community Education Association from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, from March 25-April 29 at the Monroe High School Ag Department classroom. Registration cost is $60 which includes handouts, take home goodies and resource materials. In the six weeks, participants will learn the language of sustainable gardening, basic principals and methods for successful gardening, including soil preparation to pest management and disease prevention, without using harmful chemicals.
