Gardening class starts March 25

MONROE - A Sustainable Gardening class is offered by Green County Home and Community Education Association from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, from March 25-April 29 at the Monroe High School Ag Department classroom. Registration cost is $60 which includes handouts, take home goodies and resource materials. Make checks payable to Green County HCE and send to: UW Extension, Green County, N3150B Wisconsin 81, Monroe, WI 53566-9397.In the six weeks, participants will learn the language of sustainable gardening, basic principals and methods for successful gardening, including soil preparation to pest management and disease prevention, without using harmful chemicals.The class is open to the public.
