Garden Club hosts spaghetti supper

MONROE - Monroe Garden Club's spaghetti supper hosted by the Pizza Hut is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Monroe Moose Lodge.

The menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage and homemade pies and desserts. Cost is $7 adults, and $5 for children ages 4-12. Carryouts available. They will also have cookbooks for sale for $12, featuring 500 of the club's winning recipes.

On Sept. 22, 1959 the Monroe Garden Club was started by Geraldine Voelkli and Ellen Poff. The Monroe Garden Club meets at 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month from March through October at the Behring Senior Center. Dues are $5 and baking three pies for the September spaghetti fundraising supper. Each meeting includes interesting speakers, sharing interesting garden topics, going on beautiful garden walks, arboretums, Christmas parties, working at Wisconsin Community bank's popcorn wagon on a bright summer day, green house tours, plant exchanges, fall excursions and lunches.
