Albany - The 2017 Gap Church Museum Inc. will hold an old-fashioned hymn sing and open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church and cemetery located 4 miles west of Albany on Wisconsin 59. Funds raised will go toward repairing the church building.

Returning for the fourth year will be three members of the group Grass Attack, with Al Watson of Albany playing bass and Jeff and Liz Wagner of German Valley, Illinois, on acoustic guitars with vocals. Whiskey Junction, a father and son group, will also be performing.

Documents will be available for viewing at the open house, including copies of the original membership list from 1850 to 1969, church records beginning in 1850 and minutes of the Soldiers Aid Society that began in 1862. Information about the cemetery will also be available.

Refreshments will be served after the hymn sing. There is no charge for the event, but a good-will offering will be taken.
