MONROE - According to the National Kidney Foundation more than 26 million Americans - one in nine adults - have kidney disease. Millions more are at increased risk for getting it, and most don't know it. Kidney disease can be found and treated early to prevent more serious kidney disease and other complications. Monroe Clinic and the National Kidney Foundation are collaborating to offer a Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) screening from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, in Monroe Clinic's Founders Hall, clinic building, lower level.
KEEP is a free screening for people at risk of developing kidney disease. People who should attend this screening those who are 18 or older, have diabetes, high blood pressure, or have a parent, grandparent or sibling with diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney disease.
To schedule an appointment, call 324-1482 or 324-1303. Space is limited to the first 70 people. For more information visit monroeclinic.org or kidney.org/news /keep/index.cfm.
