MONROE — Robin Frankowski, RN, BSN, CNOR, First Assist in the Operating Room at SSM Health Monroe Hospital, has been awarded the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award. Robin has 37 years of incredible care under her belt.
Robin started in the operating room as a surgical assistant in 1987. In her drive to advance her career, she became an RN after 11 years, went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2014. Robin has continued with her own educational growth by becoming an AORN member and CNOR certified.
“Robin has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to patient care and safety. She possesses an exceptional level of technical skill and proficiency in assisting surgeons during complex surgical procedures,” the nomination shared. “Robin fosters a supportive and collaborative environment in the operating room, ensuring that every member of the surgical team feels valued and empowered to deliver the highest quality of care.”
The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award was created to recognize those nurses for their dedication to nursing through active mentoring, role modeling, advocating for their patients, and promoting the positive image of nursing. Recipients of this award serve as a beacon of inspiration to those at all stages of their careers and in the various and important roles of nursing.
