Northside Elementary School’s third-graders in Monroe recently finished the book “Because of Winn-Dixie” by Kate DiCamillo and were inspired to create their own “Mistake Tree,” a place where mistakes of the past can be bottled up, left behind and forgiven. Students had the chance to seal away their own mistake or regret.
