BRODHEAD - Prudential Premiere Real Estate of Brodhead is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit Brodhead's White Gift Food Pantry and the Green County Inter-Church Food Pantry.
The food pantries especially need winter-type foods such as soups, crackers, cocoa, hot cereals, pancake mix, syrup, and macaroni and cheese. But the shelves can use any type of non-perishable food items.
The food drive runs through November 20. Items can be dropped off at Prudential Premiere Real Estate, 1002 1st Center Ave., Brodhead.
Ekum Abstract and Title, 912 17th Ave., Monroe, and Green County Title and Abstract, 1720 10th St., Monroe also serve as drop off points for this drive.
This is a difficult time for area food pantries with items at all time lows, donations down and the demand increasing rapidly. Since food pantries also need to purchase certain items, cash donations are also being accepted.
