ALBANY - The Albany FFA Chapter, Jolly Mixers 4-H Club and the Albany Women's League teamed up for a food drive during November and December, collecting 2,828 pounds of food and 80 pounds of ham donated by the Green County Pork Producers.

The FFA sponsored a pizza or ice cream party to the classes that donated the most food. The elementary school winner of the food drive was Sara Freitag's class. The middle school winner was Penny Schelberger's class. The high school winner was Ryan Slayback's class. The food drive helped out 14 different families this year with extra food going to the Albany and Monticello food pantries for use later in the season.
