BELOIT — The Wealth Management team at First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce that Jarod Schut has earned the Certified Financial Planner certification.
Awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), the CFP mark identifies individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s education and examination requirements, then continue ongoing annual education programs to sustain their skills and certification. CFP professionals have completed extensive training, experience requirements and examination covering financial planning, tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance.
As Trust and Investment Officer serving the bank’s Walworth and Rock County markets, Schut has more than ten years of banking and investment experience. He is responsible for overseeing and organizing administration of estates and trusts for clients of FNBT’s Wealth Management group. He conducts periodic reviews and acts as account administrator with the goal of assisting individuals understand their investments, helping clients develop financial plans, and providing Sound Advice to help people reach their financial goals.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater, Schut received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a double major in finance and economics. In addition to his newest CFP certification, he holds several investment designations including Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Schut serves as a member of the board of directors of Community Health Systems, Inc., a non-profit agency that provides comprehensive care for individuals in the Beloit community. In his spare time, Schut enjoys traveling with his wife, Alicia, and he is a certified SCUBA diver.
Schut splits his time between FNBT’s Walworth and Beloit-Grand Avenue locations.
