Flu clinics planned

MONROE - Prevention is always a good idea when it comes to the flu, and perhaps the best tool to prevent the flu is immunization. Monroe Clinic will be offering Flu Immunization Clinics on the following dates:

• Monroe Clinic-Albany: 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 27 and 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3. Appointment needed. Call (608) 862-1616

• Monroe Clinic-Blanchardville: 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 and 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. Appointment needed. Call (608) 523-4261

• Monroe Clinic -Monroe, Founders Hall - Lower Level Clinic Building for adults, ages 18 and over: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 28; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, Thursday, Oct. 30 and Friday, Oct. 31. No appointment needed. Walk-ins are welcome.

• Monroe Clinic -Monroe, Pediatrics Dept. - Lower Level Clinic Building for ages 6 months to 18 years. Appointment is needed. Call (608) 324-2337. Hours are 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Oct. 20, Oct. 27, Nov. 3, Nov. 10, Nov. 17 and Nov. 24.

The cost of the flu shot is $25 payable in cash or with the presentation of the individual's Medicare, Medical Assistance, or insurance card. Individuals are encouraged to wear short sleeves or a shirt with sleeves that can roll up to the shoulder.
