CLARNO TOWNSHIP — A string of five burglaries against local businesses in the township of Clarno took place in July. Forcible entry was used and cash was taken in most cases. One of the businesses captured two persons on security footage with what appears to be a pistol according to the Green County Sheriff Office press release.
The burglaries are presumed to be related based on the manner of the crimes, the location and the time of day in which they were committed according to Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud.
The five business include a firework stand located on Patina Lane on July 2, the Garden Spot on Advance Road July 21, an attempt at Sky-Vu located on Wis. 69 on July 22, FNF Firewood on Wis. 69 on July 25 and CGM Sales on Wis. 69 July 27.
Cash was taken at all of the areas except Sky-Vu. In some cases, substantial amounts of cash were taken.
The Green County Sheriff’s Office is asking for tips on identifying the individuals caught on security footage. At the current time, there are no suspects.
