Fish fry to benefit MERIT center

MONROE - The first MERIT Center Fish Fry will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6 at the Monroe Fire Station No. 2, 1803 12th St.

Prices are $10 for all-you-can-eat, $5 for kids and $8 for carryout. All proceeds will benefit the MERIT Center.

The menu includes fish (cod), french fries, coleslaw, rolls, macaroni and cheese, dessert and drinks.

The MERIT Center is a 6-acre multi-use and emergency services training center located in the north industrial park. It is available for use by all Green County agencies and regularly conducts fire, police, EMS and private industry safety and response training. The center is also home to the Monroe Fire School, which is in its 76th year.
