MONROE - The First Baptist Church, 853 31st Ave., will be starting a new program called "Word and Deed" based on I John 3:18.
The program will help any elderly or disabled people in the City of Monroe who may need help with shoveling or raking or other projects in the winter and fall. They can call the church at (608) 325-3867 and the church will send someone to help them as best they can. There is no cost for the service.
The program is a volunteer-based program.
