MONTICELLO - The Monticello Historical Society will hold its October meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ lounge, 416 E. Lake Ave., Monticello.

After a short business meeting, Matt Figi of the Green County Historical Society will give a PowerPoint presentation showing a variety of photos that were taken between 1870 and 2008 in and around Monroe. Figi's presentation will detail many of the changes that Monroe has undergone during those years, with aerial and bird's-eye views that explain the relationship of many of the buildings. This event will showcase some of the 260 photos from the latest book published by the Green County Historical Society, "Monroe, Wisconsin Area Pictorial History."

Books will be available for purchase with proceeds supporting the Green County Historical Society.

The presentation is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
