JUDA - Members from the Juda FFA attended the Wisconsin FFA Convention held Monday, June 10 to Thursday, June 13 at the Alliant Energy Center.

Troy Allen, Joel Dieckhoff, Brianna Knudtson and Jessica Rackow each received the State FFA Degree on Wednesday, June 12. The degree is the highest degree a member can earn at the state level and is given to those members who have invested at least $1,500 or worked 1,000 hours in their Supervised Agricultural Experience Program.

Todd Davis, Luke Jordan, Sara Jordan and McKayla Trotter were members of the Wisconsin FFA Honors Choir. They practiced and/or performed during the convention. Davis, Jordan and Trotte also performed in the State FFA Talent competition, where they each received gold ratings and are recommended for national consideration in choir and talent at the National FFA Convention in October.

Alyssa Cramer and Jason Roth were voting delegates for the Juda FFA during the business session on Tuesday and voted for sectional officer on Wednesday. Roth was also one of 15 students from the state interviewed for National FFA Convention delegate consideration.

Kade Allen received his first place trophy for high individual in the Livestock Career Development Event, which was held in April. The Juda FFA Chapter also received two awards for membership. The first award was for having the third highest percentage of membership of a school's population, with 56 percent of the seventh through 12th grade population being members of the FFA. The chapter also received a certificate for having 100 percent of their agriculture education students as members of the FFA.

The Juda chapter was chosen from Section V to exhibit a display board of their activities for the 2012-13 year. The display board was set-up during the convention on Wednesday. Tabatha Davis, Jessica Jordan and other Juda members answered questions about the display and the Juda FFA Chapter.

Ryan Schmitt was flag bearer for Juda FFA during the opening session on Tuesday. Jessica Jordan submitted the chapter's scrapbook and received a red ribbon for her work.
