‘Farming Soil and Water’ workshop set

DARLINGTON — UW-Extension Lafayette County is offering an educational workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Lafayette County Multi-Purpose Building, 11974 Ames Rd., Darlington. The workshop is titled, “Farming Soil and Water.” 

Successfully producing food, fuels, fibers and raw materials requires farmers to make profitable decisions with crops, animals, conservation and farm management. 

UW soil, water, nutrient management and farm research specialists will share agricultural strategies available to enhance the soil and water quality for farmland. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with a meal beginning at noon. LASA members are invited to attend at no cost.
