‘Farming Soil and Water’ workshop set for Jan. 9

DARLINGTON — The University of Wisconsin-Division of Extension, Lafayette County is offering an educational workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 titled, “Farming Soil and Water.” The workshop will be held in the Lafayette County Multipurpose Building, 11974 Ames Rd., Darlington. 

Successfully producing food, fuels, fibers and raw materials requires farmers to make profitable decisions with crops, animals, conservation and farm management. University of Wisconsin soil, water, nutrient management and farm research specialists will share agricultural strategies available to enhance the soil and water quality for farmland. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with a meal beginning at noon. Lafayette Ag Stewardship Alliance members are invited to attend at no cost.
