MONROE - The Monroe FFA Chapter and Monroe FFA Alumni will host the 25th annual Farm Toy Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at the Monroe High School, 1600 26th St.
Admission is $3 for adults, and children under 10 will be admitted for free.
The show will feature old and new farm toys, toy trucks, NASCAR toys, and a miniature farm display. An FFA Alumni sponsored food stand with homemade baked goods and lunch choices will also be available.
The annual Farm Toy Show was created in part by Dale Daigger and Don Steiner in 1984, after they approached FFA alumni members to see if it was possible. Three years later, Scott and Mary Schmidt, FFA alumni members, started running the show when it moved to the high school. After 22 years of running the show, the Schmidts retired and Josh and Liz Steiner took over running the event
This year, to celebrate the 25th anniversary, there are 1/64 scale tractors for sale with the Toy Show logo on the box. A John Deere 4440 and an International Harvester 1466, both with duals, are $8 each.
A children's pedal pull for ages 4 to 9 will start at 1 p.m. with early registration.
