Family Fest set for Sunday

ALBANY - The Albany United Methodist Church invites the community to their "Family Festival" on Sunday, May 23, at the Albany Lion's Club. Worship is at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. A pork roast meal, including hot dogs, cheesy potatoes, homemade macaroni and cheese, salads, vegetables and desserts will be served at 11:30 a.m. Advance tickets are adult $7, child 3-12 $5, 2 and under free. Tickets are $1 more at the door.

Wayne Albertson will be leading the auction which begins at 1 p.m. There will be supervised children's games during the auction. Auction items include: handcrafted items such as an oak table, quilt rack, oak shelf, a full size quilt, baby quilts, knit afghans, matted photos of the Albany area. There are baskets filled with theme items, such as coffee, garden, wild birds, games, spa items and more. There are also many gifts certificates grouped in packets such as free hotel stays, gift certificates for meals, and services. Some auction items include a Barbie TV, a Longaberger basket, a signed football from the Packers and the Badgers and a Wisconsin Badger blanket.
