MONROE - Green County Fairest of the Fair applications are being accepted through Tuesday, April 15.
Green County Fairest of the Fair serves as the official ambassador for the Green County Fair throughout the year. The program includes opportunities to educate area schools and youth and adult organizations about the Green County Fair. The Green County Fairest also makes special appearances in selected parades or events to promote the Green County Fair.
To be eligible to participate, applicants must be residents of Green County and at least 18 years old as of Jan. 1. Applicants must be familiar with the Green County Fair, willing to fulfill promotional duties throughout their reign, and have a valid driver's license.
Interviews will be held on Saturday, April 26. The Fairest of the Fair will be selected by a panel of judges based on communication skills, knowledge and experience with Green County Fair, school and community activities, professional appearance and personality. The crowning of the new Green County Fairest of the Fair will take place at the Green County Pickers Flea Market in June.
