MONROE - "Stirring the Pot" picnic series, June 17, July 15 and August 19, will continue the community dialog on local food issues.
At 5:30 p.m. June 17 on the lawn of the Monroe Arts Center, Stirring the Pot will feature a professional chef on the Art Center's steps and live Blue Grass music by a local Blanchardville band.
Bring your own picnic and dance in the parking lot.
Previously announced as a potluck, the event was changed to a "bring your own picnic" to accommodate buyers and sellers at the Monroe Farmers' Market from 2-5 p.m. Wednesdays on the Square.
The commercial kitchen survey, "Stirring the Pot," picnic series and the April presentation of "See Jane Grow" are distinct events but are all under the umbrella of helping promote local foods in Green County.
