Extension plans forage management workshop

DARLINGTON — UW-Division of Extension, Lafayette County is offering an educational workshop from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 24 at the Lafayette County multi purpose building, 11974 Ames Road, Darlington, titled, “Forage disease management: plant health, yield and feed quality.” 

Dr. Doug Rouse, UW Plant Pathology will present information on Aphanomyces in alfalfa and forage disease management strategies. Dr. Matt Akins, UW Extension Dairy Specialist, will share information about utilizing forages for dairy heifer development. Josh Kamps, Extension Lafayette County will lead a discussion focused around agronomic management of forages. Consider joining the workshop. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. with a meal beginning at 5:30 p.m.
