Equine Empowerment Open House

Gavin Jordan shows some excitement with photo props for himself and his equine friend during the open house Jan. 18.

Equine Empowerment, a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship center located outside of Monroe, held an open house Jan. 18 where they showed off some equine programs that would be offered in early 2020.

Those in attendance were also able to meet equine trainers and staff, take photos with horses and view demonstrations. Money raised from the event that included a bake sale and silent auction is being used to offset costs for programs.

Enough money was raised that classes can be offered free of charge to some. There is also a scholarship fund.

Classes will begin soon at Equine Empowerment and will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays starting Feb. 21. Reserve a spot by calling 608-329-5711. All ages are welcome. Scholarships are available for lessons and camps. Summer day camps will be announced soon.
