Karen and Steve Rick of Union Grove are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen Rick, to Artem Beer, son of Judge James and Olga Beer of Monroe. Rick, a 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota, is a second-year medical student at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Beer, a 2014 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is currently employed by Deloitte in Minneapolis as a technology consultant. A July 2017 wedding is planned.
