Sarah Martin and Paul Plaskett, currently residing in Chicago Ill., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Scott and Sandy Martin of Batavia, Ill., and the future groom is the son of Willy and Bettyanne Plaskett of Echo Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Sarah is a graduate of Monroe High School, earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a physician assistant/masters in medical science degree from Downer's Grove, Ill., and a masters of business administration degree from Keller Business School of Management, Chicago. She is currently serving as the clinical manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Department of Transplant Surgery.

Paul is a graduate of a high school in Canada. He earned a bachelors degree in exercise science from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and a bachelor of science degree in human biology and doctor of chiropractic studies from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill. He specializes as a board certified chiropractic orthopedist in private practice in a western Chicagoland suburb.

An April 2009 destination wedding is planned.
