Gerald and Mardell Homb, Warren, Ill., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Carrie Homb, to Matthew Lawson, son of the Rev. Kenneth and Barbara Lawson of Stockton, Ill.

The future bride is a graduate of Warren High School. She is employed at Hatfields in Warren.

The future groom is a graduate of Stockton High School. He is employed by Jerry Homb Construction.

The couple has planned an Oct. 3 wedding at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren.
