Julie Ricklefs and Frank and Kathy Allbones announce the engagement of their daughter Becky Jo Hippert to David W. Powers, son of Marsha and Leo Thomann, Albany, and the late Larry Dean Powers. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Monticello, Iowa, High School class of 1992, and graduated from Kaplan University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in business management. The future groom graduated from Albany High School in 1988. The couple plans to wed October 2, 2009.
