BRODHEAD - Tony and Dela Ends of Scotch Hill Farm, Brodhead, are members of the Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition. MACSAC is a collaboration between 35 Wisconsin farms and community members to promote local agriculture and increase access to locally grown food through Community Supported Agriculture.
CSA is an economic and social partnership in which community members support local farms through the purchase of shares and receive weekly boxes of seasonal produce, fruits, cheeses, eggs, meats, poultry, flowers, herbs or preserves specific to the farmers current harvest. Raising over 100 varieties of vegetables and herbs, subscribers are provided 10 to 15 varieties of seasonal crops each week, all grown with organic, chemical-free practices. This produce is delivered weekly to drop-off sites near your home or can be picked up on-site for a $50 subscription discount. In addition to their produce shares, subscribers are offered farmstead milk soap, yogurt, cheese or flower shares. For more information, contact the Ends at (608) 897-4288 or call (608) 226-0300 or online at www.macsac.org.
