MONROE - On Thursday, April 25, Monroe High School will host a spring art show, an empty bowl dinner, a free student-directed play, and the High School Arts and Academic Awards Night.

The dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.; the play is set from 7:30 to 8:05 p.m.; and the awards will start at 8:15 p.m.

The empty bowl dinner will feature the sale of thrown and donated bowls made by 75 ceramics students, staff and local potters. Those who attend will be able to choose a handmade bowl to take home. The dinner is $10, and includes soup made by local restaurants, bread, drink and desert. All proceeds will be donated to the Green County Food Pantry.

All the above activities are part of this year's Fine Arts Festival. The festival is a biannual event that includes hands on activities, lectures and performances presented by master artists, craftsman, musicians, poets, storytellers and authors, for the enrichment of all students.
