Employment skills workshops planned

MONROE - The Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board is offering Pre-Assessment Workshops to help you learn how your aptitudes, interests, basic education, and employability skills can help in making decisions about work, careers, and education and training programs. These workshops are free and are held in Fennimore, Monroe, and Janesville. Interested persons should contact their local Job Center for more information. Before selecting a workshop, you must pick up a packet, complete the materials, and then sign-up for one of the following sessions:

Grant County Job Center: SWTC Fennimore (608) 822-2418

• 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 15;

• 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 or Aug. 28;

Green County Job Center: Monroe (608) 328-9344

• 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7;

• 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12;

Rock County Job Center: Janesville (608) 741-3578

• 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 or Aug. 19;

• 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6;

• 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11;

• 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 13 or Aug. 20

• 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 18 or Aug. 25;

• 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26;

• 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.
