Egg Hunt, Basket Benefit is Saturday

MONROE - The Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt and Basket Benefit, sponsored by the Monroe Kiwanis and Colony Brands, will be held on Saturday, March 30 at the Monroe High School.

The hunt will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for fourth-graders and younger who are accompanied by an adult.

The first 300 children will receive an Easter basket compliments of Colony Brands. Each child will go to the designated area and do a scavenger hunt for a stuffed bunny, sand toys and candy donated by Colony Brands. They will also hunt for a putty egg, bubbles and other toys and candy donated by the Monroe Kiwanis.

An Easter Basket benefit will be held with the Easter Egg Hunt. Bidding is from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Monroe High School.

Baskets will be filled with goodies including gift certificates, shirts and cheese. Winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the basket benefit will be used for improvements at the Twining disc golf course.
