MONROE — The Easter Scavenger Hunt & Basket Benefit will be held Saturday, April 13 at the Monroe Middle School new gym. 

If weather permits, the event will be held outside on the grass area at the middle school.

The event, sponsored by Monroe Kiwanis and Monroe Parks and Recreation, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is free for children in fourth grades and younger. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Each child will be given a scavenger hunt list of things to find, which will include an Easter necklace, glitter putty egg, surprise goodie bag, Easter bucket, Easter lamb, bunny flyer, bunny ears, bunny whistle or bunny pencil.  Colony Brands Inc. will give a stuffed lamb and Easter buckets to each child until they last. Bidding for baskets will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at MMS. Baskets from various business and individuals will be filled with goodies. Winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
