ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society will have Dennis Duling tell of his experience working and living in the Antarctic during its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St.
Duling works with a crew during the Antarctic's summer, North America's winter, drilling holes into the ice covering into the lake under the Antarctic.
Duling will be showing pictures and explaining how the drilling is done. He will be returning to the Antarctic in October.
The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
