MONTICELLO - The Monticello Foundation is seeking individuals interested in making a tax-deductible donation in the form of a cash, transfer or donation of stocks, property, or memorials to the foundation.
Since 1995, the Monticello Foundation has been providing scholarships to graduates of Monticello High School. The board reviews applications based on academics, citizenship, leadership and financial need. This year, the Monticello Foundation awarded $1,500 scholarships to eight 2011 graduates. In October, the board reviewed scholarship applications from college students who have earned at least 24 credits and need financial assistance. There were four individuals recently selected to receive a $1,750 scholarship from the foundation.
Contributions may be sent to Monticello Foundation, PO Box 636, Monticello, WI 53570 or dropped off at Monticello High School, 334 S. Main St., Monticello.
