DARLINGTON — In the Darlington High School Theatre’s spring play, ‘The Great All-American Musical Disaster’, anything can happen.
This hilarious comedy centers on movie producer Junior Dover, Jr. who must make a successful film in order to save his studio after the flop of his last movie, Zombies of the Stratosphere. He devises a plan to con major actors into believing that they are each the main star in the upcoming movie, Disasterama, when in reality, they are being fooled by Junior’s cunning arrangements of shooting schedules and separate scripts. Even though Junior plans to keep his scheme a secret, by the play’s title itself, the audience should have some idea of what is to come.
Will Junior be able to pull this off or will Disasterama turn out to be a disaster? To find out, plan on attending this slapstick comedy at 7 p.m. on March 24 and 25 and 1 p.m. on March 26 at the Leona Havens Theatre at DHS.
