Sara Eve Fernandes, daughter of Margarita Garfias de Christianson, Monroe, graduated from Boston University upon completion of the fall semester of 2007, with bachelor of arts degrees in history and American Studies and a minor in African American Studies. She participated in the commencement ceremony in May 2007. Fernandes is traveling in Japan until the end of January and then she plans to live in New York City.
