Ryan T. Young, Monroe, recently graduated from the College of Education, Concordia University, Chicago, with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education.
Robert C. Cates Jr., son of Bob and Linda Cates of Monroe, received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Williams College, Williamstown, Mass., at the college's commencement exercises June 6. During college, he participated in men's varsity basketball. He received the Matthew J. Godrick '96 Memorial Award.
Sara Ackerman, Monroe, received her master of arts in education degree from Viterbo University at the La Crosse Center, La Crosse, on July 16. Ackerman teaches English Language Learning for sixth through 12th grades in Monroe Middle School and Monroe High School.
