UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE -The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire announced the undergraduate students who were named to the dean's lists for the 2012 spring semester.

Area students named were Clare Koopmans, Albany, who is studying English, and Matthew Turek, Monroe, who is studying music.

Luther College

DECORAH, Iowa- Luther College announced the students were named to the 2012 spring semester dean's list.

Area students were senior Elizabeth Knutson, Monroe; sophomore Jessica O'Brien, New Glarus; and sophomore Rachel Skolaski, New Glarus.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D).

Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa University released the names of students named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester.

Area students named were: Janet Donlin, Belleville; Victoria Kempfer Mahlkuch, New Glarus; Sara Schmid, South Wayne; Robert Smith, Belleville; Melissa Brunner, South Wayne; Valerie Curran, Monroe; and Melissa Lyle, Monroe.

To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.

UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls announced students who made the spring semester dean's list.

Area students named were Kelsey Rients, Monroe, majoring in geology; Tyler Hefty, Belleville, majoring in mathematics; Ariel Krupke, Monroe, majoring in art education; Emily Seeling, Juda, majoring in animal science; MiAnna Woller, Belleville, majoring in animal science; and Bianca Woller, Belleville, majoring in animal science.

To be named to the dean's list, a full-time undergraduate student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0, or midway between an "A" and "B" average.
