David Daniel, Shakespeare on the Edge, to present youth acting workshop Feb. 22

MONROE - David Daniel of the American Players Theatre will team with Shakespeare on the Edge Inc. of Green County to present an acting workshop for youth age 9 to 18 years old from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Monroe Arts Center located at 1314 11th Street.

Daniel will push the youth to find their inner voice and confidence through acting games and activities, as well as with his energy and passion for the art of Shakespeare.

The fee of $75 includes lunch. Youth can also join the Shakespeare Project for $150 and have their workshop fee waived. Membership in the Shakespeare Project includes meeting weekly for 14 weeks from Feb. 19 through May exploring the works of Shakespeare, selecting and producing a scene to perform with peers, the APT workshop, and seeing a performance at APT in June. Space is limited for both the project and the workshop. Attendees must pre-register by Feb. 18 or currently be a part of The Shakespeare Project to attend the APT Actors Workshop.
