ST. PAUL - Sarah Dix, daughter of Stu and Cheryl Dix of Darlington, will participate in Northwestern College's Song and Dance tour, a concert series of 20th Century Symphonic Wind repertoire featuring the Symphonic Band along with the Jazz Ensemble.
Tour dates and locations are as follows: Tuesday, Jan. 5 in Lake Mills, Iowa; Thursday, Jan. 7 in Story City, Iowa; Saturday, Jan. 9 in Waterloo, Iowa; and Thursday, Jan. 14 in St. Paul.
Dix is currently a freshman pursuing a degree in engineering at Northwestern College, St. Paul, Minn., and is a 2009 graduate of Darlington High School.
Northwestern's Symphonic Band, along with the big band sounds of the NWC Jazz Ensemble, will present an evening of Gershwin, Bennett, Grainger, Arnold, Porter and McCartney.
