DARLINGTON — Dan Lepien, a Nashville recording artist that hails from Sauk City, will be headlining the first annual Bacon Beer & Cheese HONKY TONK Festival sponsored by Darlington Lion’s Club. Taking place from 2-10 p.m. on July 30 at the Lafayette County Fairgrounds, the Lions will bring together top-notch talent and outstanding Wisconsin cuisine.
“We wanted to create a fantastic, fun and country-loving Midwest event that would be unlike any other,” said Brent Erickson, Lion’s Cub President. “Investing in great talent was the start.”
Dan Lepien’s debut album “A Country Mile” has been hailed by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and country music radio personalities. Known for his ability to connect with audiences, Lepien’s high energy live shows have helped him gain a loyal fan base. Influenced by traditional country legends, his sound reflect the days of prime country acts like Daryle Singletary, George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Clint Black. In addition to Lepien, the Honky Tonk Festival will feature local bands Just Jake and 2nd Generation that are sure to keep feet tapping and boots scootin’.
More than great music, the Bacon, Beer & Cheese HONKY TONK Festival will also feature great eats. Local farmers, cheesemakers, clubs and business will serve up tasty signature bites and sandwiches — everything from famous cheese curds to street tacos and gelato.
Games, raffles, and children’s crafts and tournaments round out the fun-filled activities.
